Featuring The Marguerite E. Smith UBE Scholarship
In honor of our beloved former President and disciple of Christ, who went into His loving arms in May of 2024, the UBE, Diocese of Newark Chapter has renamed our scholarship - The Marguerite E. Smith UBE Scholarship.
For years, Marguerite had a deep love and commitment to the educational development of our young people, the Diocese of Newark, and the UBE. She worked tirelessly to enhance opportunities for those in need, no matter their race, ethnicity, gender, or culture.
Our program offers scholarships to qualified high school seniors graduating in 2025 who are actively engaged in the life, work, and ministry of an Episcopal Congregation in the Episcopal Diocese of Newark, New Jersey, and we are excited and proud of this year’s recipients.
So please join us at our luncheon as we celebrate our high school seniors and award them the first of many Marguerite E. Smith UBE Scholarships.
